>>Continuando con las investigaciones que realiza el proyecto SONIDOS DE AMERICA en las reservas arqueologicas nacionales del Ecuador, esta vez fue tuvimos el agrado de ingresar a la reserva del Museo y Centro Cultural Manta, en Manabi, para conocer acerca de las estatuillas sonoras de la costa ecuatoriano del periodo precolombino. “SONIDOS INTERNOS: secretos acusticos de las estatuillas sonoras del ecuador precolombino” es el nombre que recibe esta producción audiovisual que trata acerca de las estatuillas sonoras desarrolladas en el periodo de DESARROLLO REGIONAL (500 a.c. – 500 d.c.) por las culturas Bahía, Jama Coaque, La Tolita y Guangala . Hemos encontrado piezas rotas las cuales permiten observar la construcción interna, comprendiendo como fueron construidas estos objetos sonoros. Se agradece a todo el personal del Museo Centro Cultural Manta, por habernos dejado entrar a la reserva arqueológica y habernos dado todas las facilidades para poder realizar el trabajo de investigación, que fue realizado en el mes de Marzo de 2016. <<

The ones on his table are his reproductions of ancient originals. In particular the flute (forward to 1:52) shaped in the form of Pachamama “Mother Earth” deity: Pachamama is a goddess revered by the indigenous people of the Andes. Pachamama is usually translated as Mother Earth, but a more literal translation would be “Mother world” (in Aymara and Quechua mama = mother / pacha = world or land; and later widened in a modern meaning as the cosmos or the universe). Pachamama and Inti are the most benevolent deities; they are worshiped in parts of the Andean mountain ranges, also known as Tawantinsuyu (the former Inca Empire) (stretching from present day Ecuador to Chile and northern Argentina being present day Peru the center of the empire with its capital city in Cuzco).<<
